Noble Life Sciences is delighted to welcome Rigoberto Sanchez, Associate Director, Quality Assurance (QA).
Dr. Sanchez will be responsible for Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance with Title 21 of the US Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 58, for studies conducted in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices; animal welfare regulations provided by the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW); the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC); standards provided by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation for Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) and additional local, state, federal and international regulations. He is experienced with Quality Management Systems, root cause analyses, personnel training, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, equipment management, study file administration and CFR Part 11 compliant software for Document Management Systems.
Dr. Sanchez has over 20 years of experience with non-GLP/GLP pre-clinical research project management and regulatory compliance oversight, in the Comparative Medicine Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. As Director of Pre-Clinical Research Operations and Compliance his efforts have resulted in numerous successful FDA/EPA marketing applications. He has extensive experience working with executives, physicians, study directors, testing facility managers, sponsors, auditors, research staff and organizational stakeholders.
Dr. Sanchez is a former Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, who has also served as an IACUC member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association. He has experience with numerous large and small species, as well as former management of an ABSL-2 research facility and a CDC-certified ABSL-3 research facility.
Dr. Sanchez is a Registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Laboratory Practices (RQAP-GLP), from the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA). He has served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the SQA’s University GLP Specialty Section regarding quality practices in basic, applied and pre-clinical research settings.
Dr. Sanchez has a Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Maryland Baltimore, is currently pursuing his M.B.A. and has recently been inducted into the Business Honors Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
